Machine Vision Systems
PhotoScribe Technologies cutting edge Machine Vision Systems have the ability to take images, analyze the captured image and by computational routines, either come to certain conclusions or improve processes using the compiled data. Machine Vision itself is comprised of a camera mounted on microscopes, which collects and analyzes data. Images are evaluated, and by taking multiple images it is possible to see what is in and out of focus, as well as stack and produce an all-in-focus image, key to microscopy.
Examples of applications for Machine Vision include analyzing barcodes for encrypted information or collecting multiple images to produce high res, distortion-free images. In the pharmaceutical industry, Machine Vision analyzes pills for the mark—between 100,000 and 410,000 pills an hour—for compliance of laser marking quality.
